Comment policy

To avoid misunderstandings, please read this comment policy. If you would like to make polite suggestions about the policy, you may do so in the page comments.

The Full Spectrum Project website is a safe space. If you are here to argue against the right of certain groups to be a part of fandom, please take yourself elsewhere. Comments deemed to be homophobic, transphobic, biphobic, racist, sexist, lookist or otherwise inappropriate will be deleted; see Moderation below.

Keep things on reasonably on topic. We know that conversations can wander, but please do not coo over your heartthrob du jour or post your latest Obamacare conspiracy theories unless it is actually relevant to the topic at hand.

Be respectful of people’s privacy. If someone wishes to remain in the less visible parts of the spectrum, please do not out them. And please do not post anyone’s email address, smail address, telephone number or other such information, not even your own.

Your privacy will be respected. We will keep your personal information private. Unless required by a search warrant, we will never sell, share, distribute or otherwise communicate any of the information you provide to us. In most cases, the information will be deleted once we are done with it.

Our sandbox; our rules. We reserve the right to decide which comments are removed and which comments are allowed to stay.

First-time comments will be moderated. The first time someone posts, their comment will be held for moderation. Once it is approved, you shouldn’t have any trouble posting again if you use the same name and email.

Comments may contain one link. All comments with two or more links will be held for moderation. Nothing personal: this is to help block spam.

We use anti-spam software. It should be rare, but it may happen that your comment gets dropped into spam prison. We do keep an eye on that, and will spring anything that seems legit. Please be patient.

A name and email address are required to post. We know it is annoying, but this helps to cut down on the spam. Sorry.

Pingbacks and trackbacks are disabled. In our experience, they end up causing more problems than they are worth. However, we would love to hear from you if you post about us; let us know from the Contact Page.
